The development of new products and services is fundamental to sustaining an SMB’s long-term competitive advantage. The efforts of the individual or team of intrapreneurs who are responsible for this activity become even more complex when the activity must be carried out inside an existing on-going business. This workshop explores a procedural framework that can be used, along with typical issues often encountered such as resources, timing, political conflicts, bureaucracy, and other obstacles that must be overcome to succeed in developing products within an SMB company.

Workshop agenda & activities are based on Gifford Pinchot’s Intrepreneurial latest methodologies and studies for Small Business. Alongside with selected case studies and participants team project to develop a business plan proposal for a new product or service – to be presented to senior management. Participants will also learn techniques to develop a 2-3 minute elevator pitch to quickly and succinctly present the concept to a company senior manager. Participant’s teams will assemble a business plan and a strategy for a simulated business, and then deliver a formal presentation to the class.

After completing this workshop, you will be able to:

✔ Learn how to manage a new venture within an existing company in ways that allow it to succeed, make profit and to continue to grow.

✔ Understand how to put together a business plan and presenting it to the company’s board of directors.

✔ Learn how to overcome various financial, economic and political barriers and succeed with a new idea in an existing SMB environment.

About the Lecturer

Mr. Wekser Noam is a born Corporate Entrepreneurship Leader (Intrapreneur) with eighteen years of professional experience, working in diversified managerial atmospheres, where he managed national and international teams. Mr. Wekser worked in national, large international companies & organizations, understanding customers’ needs, generating proposals, selling and managing services sales, coordinating processes redesign and software implementation projects.

He has extensive knowledge of international ERP/CRM software implementations and Change Management methodologies. Parallel to his current place of work at Oracle as an executive, he serves as a Key Note Speaker and a lecturer in leading universities and academic institutes: Ben-Gurion University, The College of Management Academic Studies, Ruppin Academic Center, Jerusalem Academic Center – Lander Institute and in Shamoon College of Engineering.

Mr. Wekser graduated Recanati’s prestige Executive MBA Program at Tel-Aviv University and in Electronics Engineering at Tel-Aviv University.
